Effective, but noiseless deterrent
The MOLE STOP SOLAR works without any noise and it only uses vibrations. The device emits intermittent vibrations that are transmitted to the ground and disrupt the sense of direction of the moles and voles. The animals can no longer find their tunnels or have no idea in which direction to dig. Therefore, they leave the disturbance range. The special feature of this device - in contrast to comparable devices on the market - is the absence of annoying sounds.
Positioning the MOLE STOP
The MOLE STOP has a screw thread that is twisted into the ground until the edge is level with it. Under optimal conditions - hard ground, open space - the mole repellent has a range of up to 1,000 m² (radius of approx. 18 m).
Soft, loose soil (such as in flowerbeds) shortens the effective area, as the vibrations are not transmitted as far. In this case, or for larger surfaces, it is advisable to use several devices at the same time.
How does it work in practice?
The MOLE STOP should be placed next to the mole/vole tunnel, not directly into it. In order to track and mark the tunnels, you can use Windhager marker flags (05317).
The device should be first placed close to the house and, as soon as the mounds start to move, the device should be relocated. In this way you keep moving farther in the area of the mole until you have driven it out of the garden. The MOLE STOP should still be kept in place so that the mole does not return.
Several devices can also be set up as a network to quickly achieve success or to cover a large area.
Good to know
The Windhager MOLE STOP SOLAR is solar-powered and therefore immediately ready for use. An adapter with a 2 m power cable (08102) and a 20 m long connecting cable (08020) are separately available.
Worth knowing
The use of the MOLE STOP disturbs the animals and they try to fight against it - by digging more. More molehills than before may appear for some days. If the device remains in operation, the animals give up after a few days and flee.
