Recognize and reduce infestations caused by winged thrips
With the help of blue traps, you can see in a natural way whether plants and vegetables are infested with palm thrips, flower thrips or onion thrips. The blue traps also help reduce and prevent infestations. The odourless and insecticide-free mosquito catchers are glue-coated on both sides, which means that thrips stick to them.
This is how it works
Thrips are only about 1 mm "large". To determine whether the infestation is actually caused by this pest, take a piece of white paper and place it under the infected areas on the plant. Then, carefully tap the plant leaf with your fingertip. If tiny black dots fall on the sheet of paper, then your plant is most likely infected with a species of thrip.
The 24x10 cm traps are already glue-coated and ready for use thanks to the pre-assembled hanging wire. Before use, the film only needs to be peeled off so that the cards can then be attached directly to the desired location. It is advisable to attach the cards on a stick and place them directly in the soil next to the plants. Several blue traps can also be placed at a distance of 30 cm.
