Natural winter protection for your garden
Windhager’s winter fleece offers the same benefits as a classic winter protection fleece: it is light and flexible, adapts well, balances temperature fluctuations and effectively protects the plant from frost, hail and snow. It allows for plants to be wrapped easily and can be quickly fastened using cords or jute threads. Its white colour makes this fleece an elegant highlight in your wintry garden.
At the same time, the fleece is entirely sustainable as it is made from renewable raw materials (plant starch) and completely oil-free. The production of its raw materials is more sustainable as it produces less CO2 than that of common plastics.
The fleece is industrially compostable, i.e. biodegradable, which is why it does not come with cords or the like. Thanks to this type of disposal only the amount of CO2 the plant has absorbed during its growth is released into the atmosphere – no toxic residual materials.
Our tip: Don’t think of shoots and trunks alone, but also of your plant’s roots. Windhager jute and coconut fibre mats or mulch discs make great additions.
