With a fly screen door, you are a big step closer to a mosquito-proof home. The Windhager EXPERT swing door is ideal for frequently used passageways on balconies or terraces. It can be opened conveniently using the continuous handle rail or - if you don't have a hand free - by pushing it open with your foot. Thanks to special hinges and magnets, it swings back into its original position and closes reliably by itself. The insect screen is very narrow and also fits between the roller shutter and the door frame.

Clever details

A frame made of robust, powder-coated aluminium profiles and a centre bar ensure the stability of the swinging fly screen door. Bevelled edges give it a softer look and feel. A robust kick plate protects the fabric and allows the door to be pushed open with the foot from both sides. The door can be opened by hand using the continuous handle strip. Thanks to the almost invisible "Perfect View" fibreglass fabric in anthracite, you have a clear view of the outside. Fresh air and light can pass through, and mosquitoes are prevented from entering. All-round sealing brushes close even the last gap to the wall and protect against even the smallest insects. The insect screen is fixed to the door frame. Solid, fibreglass-reinforced hinges ensure that the swing door swings in both directions and closes by itself; magnets keep it securely closed. 

Mounting

The EXPERT insect screen swing door is a DIY self-assembly kit. All components can be cut to size and thus adapted to the door size. The fly screen door is either screwed to the door frame or attached without drilling using Velcro/fluff tape. 

Required tools: tape measure, pencil, scissors, cutter knife, screwdriver, rubber mallet, drill (for cutting: metal saw, metal file, mitre box).

Possible applications for a mosquito-proof home

The slim swinging insect screen door does not require much space for installation and is ideal for:

Flush doors: Doors - where the door frame and door leaf are flush when viewed from the outside. There is no projection.

Offset doors: Doors in which the door frame and door leaf are not flush when viewed from the outside, but form a kind of step/projection.

Doors without weatherstrip: Doors without a bevelled element on the door leaf (which serves to drain rainwater).

Doors with fixed sun protection such as roller shutters, external venetian blinds, external venetian blinds (note installation depth!).
