Optimal tension – awning installation made easy 

Tight tensioning of awnings has never been so easy – with the 3-part tensioning strap set including ratchet from Windhager, it can be done in no time at all with little effort. 

The strap loop can simply be placed around a tree or post in the garden. The ratchet and tensioning strap are then connected to the strap loop. As a next step, the sun sail is hooked onto the tensioning strap with the practical hook and the strap can be effortlessly tensioned using the ratchet. 

Made of tear-resistant webbing and a robust, galvanised ratchet, this tensioning strap provides reliable support, especially for larger sun sails. The tensioning strap set allows a distance of up to 2.1 m between the sail and the attachment point, thus ensuring optimal flexibility during installation. 

Expert tips: 

  • The tensioning strap set with ratchet can also be used to pre-tension the sun sail. It makes it easier to tighten the sail and attach a tensioning element, such as a tensioning anchor, tensioning spring or expander (sold separately). 
  • Lashing strap ratchets are very strong. Pay attention to the resilience of the sun sail and the fastening material. 
  • To protect the tree and its bark, a tree protector can be placed between the strap and the tree. This can be in the form of felt, carpet remnants, blankets, towels or similar material. 

Important note: 
The tensioning strap with ratchet has been specially designed for tensioning sun sails and must not be used for securing loads and transport.
